I have a smoke composites for both of my AR 308 and wwsd. It is a very nice handguard, very light, titanium barrel nut. Cons: Slightly more expensive, it's composite and delamination might be an issue in the future, aluminum barrel nut. My observations so far. Only time will tell with the smoke composites handguard in relation to possible delamination. Based on reviews they can take a beating. Both companies stand behind their products. Hopefully this helps out. The only issue I have - which is different in the Faxon and Smoke Composites - is there are just thin holes in the carbon fiber with little bolts holding it to the metal mounting ring.
